We arrived at the Mermaid House with 11 friends ready to celebrate my 30th in Brighton, and we absolutely loved it! The house was clean, tidy, and perfect for a big group, with plenty of comfortable beds for everyone. It’s also in a great location only about a 10 minute walk to the pier. One thing to note is that there are ALOT of stairs throughout the house, so it may not be ideal for young children or anyone with mobility issues, although it wasn’t a problem for us at all. My only small criticism would be that some areas of the décor could do with a little updating..a fresh coat of paint here and there, and some wallpaper in the living room was peeling slightly. However, this didn’t affect our stay in any way. The host was very accommodating with our early check-in request, and when I called with a question during check-in, they answered straight away and were extremely polite and helpful. Overall I’d highly recommend staying here!

Overall stay was good. Lovely house, the basement was cold but was provided an oil heater. Only downside wasn’t given the back door keys due to high winds and potentially smashing of the glass pain in the door. A heads up of this would have been nice.
